WHY THE SUSTAINABILITY-DRIVEN INNOVATION MATRIX
Understanding where you stand and where you want to go
The Sustainability-driven Innovation Matrix is a dynamic tool designed to help organizations assess their current practices and set an ambitious roadmap for integrating sustainability and innovation into their business strategy. As organizations face increasing pressure from regulators, consumers, and investors to adopt sustainable practices, this matrix offers a clear pathway for growth.
By outlining seven levels of maturity—from None to Synergizing—on both the sustainability and innovation axes, it enables businesses to track their progress and identify areas for improvement.
HOW THE MATRIX WORKS
Go to our Tool and download the Matrix. In a workshop setting with multidisciplinary team, involving representatives from different departments collaborate to explore where the organization currently stands on both the sustainability and innovation axes. Different parts of the organization, or even functional areas within a single business unit, may be at varying levels of maturity.
Identify key opportunities for improvement, such as reducing environmental impacts, enhancing social initiatives, or strengthening governance structures. Align on the organization’s future ambitions and define actionable next steps for moving to the next level of the matrix.
